Bahasa Sunda (ind. Sundanese language) touches upon the communication clash of the two distinct cultures and the (im)possibility of escape from socially appointed roles. The film is based on a liminal experience of a communication cul-de-sac that took place in a primary school in Jatiwangi during my stay in Indonesia. In the film I use the documentary record of the aura of the Indonesian school. The soundtrack leads the camera through a closed, cardboard model.
